What Is the Scientific Calculator?
This Scientific Calculator evaluates full expressions with order of operations and implicit multiplication (2π, 3(4+1), 2sin 30). It covers sin, cos and tan with their inverses (2nd), hyperbolic functions and their inverses, ln, log, log₂, eˣ, 10ˣ, powers, square and cube roots, reciprocals, absolute value, factorials, combinations (nCr) and permutations (nPr), modulo, π, e, EE scientific notation, Ans, random numbers, memory and a saved history. Answers can be shown as decimals, exact fractions or scientific notation. Everything is computed in your browser.
How It Works
Tap the keys or type directly, then press = or Enter. Choose DEG, RAD or GRAD for trig. 2nd switches the function keys to their inverses (sin⁻¹, eˣ, 10ˣ, x³, ∛). Ans uses your previous answer; MC, MR, M+ and M− manage memory. Pick Fraction to see answers like 5/6.
When to Use It

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does it follow order of operations?
- Yes. Parentheses, then powers and roots, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. Implicit multiplication like 2π or 3(x+1) is understood.
- Degrees, radians or gradians?
- Choose DEG, RAD or GRAD above the keypad. Inverse trig answers come back in the same unit.
- How do I get a fraction?
- Choose Fraction under the display. When the answer is a simple fraction (such as 1/3 + 1/2 = 5/6) it is shown exactly.
- How do I enter scientific notation?
- Use EE or type e, for example 6.02e23.
