Chess Clock & Multiplayer Game Timer
Run two to six player clocks with Fischer increment, simple delay, Bronstein refund, face-to-face display and exportable move logs.
What Is the Chess Clock & Multiplayer Game Timer?
A local turn clock for chess and other tabletop games, with separately tracked player balances and an automatic next-player handoff.
How It Works
Choose the number of players, starting minutes and bonus type. Start the game and tap the active clock after each move, or press Space when a form control is not focused. Pause before resetting. Export the move log as text or PDF.
When to Use It
Time casual chess, practice games or two-to-six-player tabletop turns. A dedicated certified clock is better suited to official competitions.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does switching tabs stop the timer?
- No. Remaining time is calculated from elapsed timestamps, not the number of screen refreshes. Pause explicitly to stop a game; device sleep and system clock changes can still affect timing.
- How do the bonus types differ?
- Fischer adds the bonus after a completed move. Simple delay waits the bonus period before charging time. Bronstein charges immediately and refunds the smaller of the elapsed move time or bonus after a move.
