What Is the Compress PDF?
Compress PDF reduces a PDF's file size by re-rendering each page as a compressed JPEG at your chosen quality and resolution, then rebuilding the document. It's especially effective for scanned or image-heavy PDFs. All processing happens in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

- Will the text still be selectable?
- No — compression rasterizes each page to an image, so text becomes part of the picture. For scanned PDFs (already images) this makes no difference.
- Why didn't my text PDF shrink much?
- Text PDFs are already small and compact. This tool helps most with image-heavy or scanned files.
