Gamepad Tester & Controller Diagnostics
Inspect connected controllers, analog sticks, button pressure, axis peaks and configurable dead-zone previews.
What Is the Gamepad Tester & Controller Diagnostics?
A live Gamepad API inspector with controller selection, raw axis plots, normalized dead-zone previews, analog button values and JSON snapshots. Monitoring starts only on request and can be paused.
How It Works
Connect a USB or Bluetooth controller, press one of its buttons, and start monitoring. Select a controller, leave the sticks untouched to inspect raw drift, then move them through their full range. Reset peaks before a new check. The preview dead zone changes this display only.
When to Use It
Troubleshoot controller inputs exposed by your browser. Device IDs, mappings and available buttons vary. No driver installation or hardware calibration is performed.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Why Is My Controller Missing?
- The browser may require a button press before exposing a connected controller. Use HTTPS and a browser that supports the Gamepad API. Some devices and embedded pages are not supported.
- Does The Dead Zone Fix Drift?
- No. It previews a normalized dead zone without changing the controller, operating system or game settings.
