Digital Bubble Level & Tilt Meter
Use phone orientation sensors to check relative tilt with a two-axis bubble, zero calibration, hold and adjustable tolerance.
What Is the Digital Bubble Level & Tilt Meter?
A two-axis level display driven by real device orientation readings. It supports a custom zero reference, held readings and selectable tolerance. No simulated measurements are substituted when a sensor is unavailable.
How It Works
Open on a supported phone or tablet over HTTPS. Enable sensors and accept the browser motion prompt if desired. Place the device flat, screen facing up. Calibrate on a known reference surface, or reset to the gravity reference. Remove cases that prevent the device from resting evenly.
When to Use It
Use as a convenience aid for relative tilt, not as a construction, survey or safety instrument. Device sensors, case shape and camera bumps affect accuracy.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Why Are There No Readings?
- Desktop hardware often has no orientation sensor. Browser support, permissions and HTTPS also affect access. The tool reports unavailable or missing readings instead of showing a false zero.
- Does Calibration Guarantee Level?
- No. It makes the current surface your zero reference. Use a known level surface when calibrating. Readings should be independently checked for critical work.
