Touch Screen Test & Multi-Touch Lab
Inspect screen coverage, simultaneous contacts, pointer types and pressure on an interactive full-screen test grid.
What Is the Touch Screen Test & Multi-Touch Lab?
A 96-cell coverage surface with contact markers, pointer trails, peak simultaneous contact counts and reported pressure. It distinguishes touch, mouse and pen inputs and exports a JSON report.
How It Works
Start the test and slowly drag across every grid cell. Use multiple fingers to inspect simultaneous contacts. Fullscreen expands the surface; leave fullscreen with your browser controls or Escape. Stop the test to restore normal touch scrolling, or clear the surface to start over.
When to Use It
Investigate unresponsive areas and compare input behavior. An untouched cell is untested, not diagnosed as broken. Browser gestures can intercept touches at screen edges, and mouse testing does not validate touch hardware.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can It Prove A Screen Is Faulty?
- No. Uncovered cells, pointer cancellation and browser gestures require further inspection. Use a manufacturer diagnostic for a definitive hardware diagnosis.
- Is Pressure Accurate?
- It is the value reported by the browser. Some devices report a fixed synthetic pressure rather than measuring real force.
