Shopify Profit Calculator
Build an editable Shopify profit bridge across refunds, COGS, payment and platform fees, fulfillment, shipping, apps and advertising.
What Is the Shopify Profit Calculator?
The Shopify Profit Calculator turns orders and average order value into an editable ecommerce profit bridge. It separates refunds and recovered COGS, product costs, payment and third-party transaction fees, shipping, packaging, fulfillment, apps, advertising and other fixed costs, then reports contribution margin, net profit, profit per order and break-even volume.
How It Works
Start with an editable example fee profile or Custom, replace every line with the store's actual plan, provider, channel and operating costs, then review the waterfall and stress scenarios. Sales tax collected for an authority is excluded from revenue by default; export the worksheet for reconciliation.
When to Use It
Use it for scenario planning, product or campaign reviews and order-economics checks. It is not connected to a Shopify account, does not fetch live plan or payment-provider rates and is not an accounting or tax return.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are The Shopify Fee Presets Live Quotes?
- No. They are editable examples that demonstrate the model. Verify current plan, card, currency, region, third-party provider and payout terms in the store's actual agreement.
- How Are Refunds Modeled?
- The refund rate reduces retained sales and can recover an editable share of refunded COGS. Payment-fee treatment is a separate assumption because provider and transaction rules differ.
