Image Splitter
Cut an image into rectangular tiles, transparent triangle pairs or seeded interlocking jigsaw pieces, then export individual files, ZIP or PDF.
What Is the Image Splitter?
The Image Splitter cuts one browser-readable image into an exact row-and-column grid. Choose rectangular tiles, two transparent triangles per cell or deterministic jigsaw pieces with complementary tabs and blanks. It supports live shape guides, social presets, trim, ordering, individual downloads, ZIP packaging and visual PDF contact sets.
How It Works
Choose or drop an image, pick Rectangular, Triangles or Jigsaw, then set the grid and inspect the live guides. Triangle direction can alternate or stay fixed; jigsaw seed and tab size are editable and Shuffle Pattern creates a new repeatable cut. Shaped pieces use PNG transparency, while rectangular tiles also support JPG and WebP.
When to Use It
Use it for social profile grids, comics, print panels, game tiles, panoramas, carousel preparation and any workflow that needs predictable image regions.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does The Splitter Resize My Image?
- No. Each tile is sampled from the original source pixels. Trim and gap settings intentionally remove pixels between or around tiles.
- How Are The Jigsaw Shapes Randomized?
- A numeric seed deterministically selects every shared tab and blank. The same grid, seed and tab size reproduce the same interlocking contours.
- Why Is A Batch Limited To 100 Tiles?
- Every tile is encoded locally in memory. The limit keeps large sources from exhausting the browser while still covering practical grids.
