What Is the Perspective Document Scanner?

A four-corner perspective correction workspace for photos of flat paper, receipts, signs and whiteboards. Move the corner handles onto the document, select an output proportion, and generate a rectangular reading copy. The preview is the same corrected image used for PNG, JPEG and PDF exports.

How It Works

Open a JPG, PNG or WebP image. Position corners clockwise: top-left, top-right, bottom-right, bottom-left. Use dragging, arrow keys or numeric coordinates for precision. Choose a known paper ratio when available, set output width and appearance, then select Straighten document. Review the result before exporting.

When to Use It

Use it to prepare readable copies of photographed notes, receipts, workshop boards or forms. For searchable text, send the exported image to the existing OCR tool. A photo of a curved book page or a blurred document needs more than a perspective transform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it find document edges automatically?
No. You control all four corners. This gives you an explicit result even when the background and page have similar colors. A crossing or nearly collapsed selection is rejected.
Why can text look stretched?
A photograph alone does not always reveal the original page proportions. The automatic option estimates proportions from the selected edges. Select A4, Letter or another known ratio for a more reliable shape.
Will the PDF be searchable?
No. The PDF contains the corrected page image. Use Image & PDF to Text Converter for OCR. PNG and PDF retain sharp edges better than repeated JPEG recompression.
What stays private and what are the size limits?
Processing runs in this browser with no file upload or automatic saving. Images up to 20 MB are accepted and resized to a maximum 2,400-pixel source edge. Output is limited to six million pixels. Generated files omit original EXIF metadata.
