Flight Time & Arrival Calculator
Estimate airborne and gate-to-gate time from airport coordinates, routing, wind and operations, with local arrival times.
What Is the Flight Time & Arrival Calculator?
The Flight Time & Arrival Calculator estimates great-circle route distance, routed distance, airborne time and gate-to-gate duration from editable airport coordinates and operating assumptions. It separates cruise speed, route factor, wind, taxi, climb and descent allowances, then converts the departure instant into the destination's local arrival time using IANA time zones.
How It Works
Choose airport presets or enter custom coordinates and time zones. Set the local departure date and time, choose the earlier or later instant when a daylight-saving transition repeats a clock time, and enter cruise speed, routing factor, wind component and operational allowances. Review the distance, block-time bridge and destination-local arrival, then copy or export the planning sheet as PDF, CSV, text, itinerary or calendar ICS.
When to Use It
Use it for itinerary planning, production schedules, connection estimates and comparing hypothetical routes. It is not a live flight plan or schedule: dispatch routing, weather, air traffic, aircraft performance and airline operations can materially change the result.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is This The Same As A Published Airline Schedule?
- No. It is an editable planning model. Published schedules and live operational data remain the correct source for an actual trip.
- Why Separate Airborne And Gate-To-Gate Time?
- Taxi, climb, descent and ground allowances affect block time but are not equivalent to cruise time, so the calculator exposes them separately.
