ICS Calendar File Inspector & Event Exporter
Inspect calendar files without importing them, search event records, review time zones and recurrence rules, and export CSV, JSON or PDF.
What Is the ICS Calendar File Inspector & Event Exporter?
A local calendar-file inspection desk for .ics attachments. It unfolds content lines, reads VEVENT records and separates embedded alarms from event fields. Inspect titles, dates, original time zones, location, status, organizer and recurrence metadata without subscribing or adding anything to a calendar.
How It Works
Open an ICS file or paste calendar source and choose Inspect. Search titles, descriptions and locations, expand a record, and export all matching records to CSV, JSON or PDF. The interface shows the first 500 matches; exports include up to 10,000 records.
When to Use It
Review a calendar export, audit dates before migration, or turn event metadata into a spreadsheet. This complements the existing calendar planner with file inspection and extraction.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are repeating events expanded?
- No. Recurrence rules, exceptions and repeated UIDs are retained as records. A repeated UID may represent an override rather than an error.
- Are time zones converted?
- No. Dates retain their original UTC, named-zone or floating representation. All-day DTEND dates are exclusive, as specified by RFC 5545.
- Where does my calendar go?
- Files are processed locally. The tool does not upload, subscribe, send invitations, execute alarms or automatically save the calendar.
