Teleprompter Pro
A full prompting studio with run-of-show navigation, target-runtime pacing, optional cue stops, voice follow, recording and remote output.
What Is the Teleprompter Pro?
Teleprompter Pro is a complete prompting workspace that runs in your browser. Its local script library includes autosave, favorites, archiving, search, templates, rich formatting, section headings, inline production cues, per-section timing and prompter-friendly paragraph optimization. A combined Sections and Cues navigator plus live Current Section and Next Cue readouts gives operators a clear run of show; optional cue stops can pause automatically at explicit [[Pause]], [[Hold]], [[Wait]] or [[Stop]] markers. The live prompter also provides smooth scrolling, exact target-runtime fitting, optional voice follow, focus and reading guides, mirror modes, countdown, loop, presenter profiles, position recovery and a visible wake-lock status. Synchronized outputs, phone or tablet pairing, keyboard, clicker and gamepad control, and local camera or audio recording support operator-led productions.
How It Works
Write or import a script, divide it into sections and add production cues, then press Start Prompter. Set a speaking pace or exact target runtime, and enable automatic cue pauses when the reader should stop for an operator, camera or production beat. Adjust text, focus and colors live; press F for full screen; connect a remote, output display or controller when an operator is helping. Switch to Record to capture a local camera or audio take.
When to Use It
Use it for YouTube videos, courses, webinars, speeches, podcasts, commercials, live segments, news updates and any camera work where you need natural delivery, precise timing and reliable eye contact near the lens.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How Is This Different From The Simple Teleprompter?
- The Simple Teleprompter is a fast single-script console. Teleprompter Pro adds a script library, templates, run-of-show navigation, automatic pause cues, target-runtime pacing, focus and reading guides, voice follow, multi-display output, remote and gamepad control, position recovery, profiles, caption export and a local recording studio.
- Can Production Cues Stop The Scroll Automatically?
- Yes. Turn on automatic cue pauses and [[Pause]], [[Hold]], [[Wait]] or [[Stop]] markers will pause the prompter when reached. Other cue labels remain visible in the run-of-show display without interrupting the reader.
- Does Voice Follow Work In Every Browser?
- No. It uses the browser's speech recognition, which is best supported in Chrome and Edge and may route audio through the browser vendor's recognition service. The tool detects support, shows status and confidence while listening, and always falls back to manual scrolling.
- Where Are My Scripts And Recordings Stored?
- Scripts, settings and profiles save to this browser's local storage, and recordings exist only in memory until you download them. Nothing is uploaded. Use Export Backup to move scripts between browsers or devices.
- Can Someone Else Control The Prompter?
- Yes. Open the synchronized remote on another window or monitor, pair a phone or tablet over a direct peer-to-peer connection, assign keys sent by a Bluetooth clicker or foot pedal, or enable the standard gamepad map for Xbox- and PlayStation-style controllers.
- Will The Prompting Screen Stay Awake?
- Teleprompter Pro requests a screen wake lock while the live prompting workspace is open and shows its status in the top strip. It automatically tries again when you return to a visible tab. Browser support, power-saving settings and secure-context rules can still block the lock, so the status remains visible to the operator.
