Screen Recorder
Record a screen, window or browser tab with optional microphone and shared audio, then preview and download the recording locally.
What Is the Screen Recorder?
The Screen Recorder captures a screen, application window or browser tab through the browser's built-in sharing controls. You can include a microphone and request tab or system audio where the browser and operating system support it, pause and resume a session, preview the result and download the recording. Media streams and the finished recording stay on your device.
How It Works
Choose whether to include microphone and shared audio, then select Start Capture. Your browser will ask which screen, window or tab to share. Use Pause, Resume and Stop from the recording desk, review the local preview and download the WebM file. For tab audio, share a browser tab and enable its audio option in the browser picker.
When to Use It
Use it for software demonstrations, bug reports, training clips, presentations and quick walkthroughs. Browser and operating-system security rules determine which surfaces and audio sources can be captured.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is The Recording Uploaded?
- No. Capture, preview and download happen locally in this browser tab. Closing or clearing the result removes the temporary in-browser recording unless you downloaded it.
- Why Is Shared Audio Missing?
- Shared audio support depends on the browser, operating system and the surface selected in the share picker. Sharing a browser tab with its audio checkbox enabled is generally the most reliable option.
- Can It Record Protected Video?
- Not reliably. Browsers and operating systems may block protected media, secure windows or other restricted content from capture.
