What Is the pH Calculator?

The pH Calculator converts any one of pH, pOH, hydrogen ion concentration or hydroxide ion concentration into the other three. It keeps pKw visible and editable and displays values outside the familiar classroom 0–14 range without silently clipping them.

How It Works

Choose the measurement you have, enter its value and confirm pKw for the validated laboratory condition. The equilibrium readout and scale update immediately.

When to Use It

Use it for acid-base coursework and dilute aqueous solution checks. Activity coefficients and temperature-dependent equilibrium data are required for high-accuracy or concentrated solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can pH Be Below Zero Or Above 14?
Yes in some concentrated solutions. The common 0–14 scale is a useful dilute-solution reference, not a universal hard limit.
Why Is pKw Editable?
The familiar value 14 applies near 25 °C; water autoionization changes with temperature.
