What Is the GeoJSON Map Studio?

A local GeoJSON inspection workspace for FeatureCollections, individual Features and bare geometry objects. It counts geometry types, coordinates and properties, computes bounds and draws an offline geometry preview.

How It Works

Paste or open GeoJSON, choose Validate & preview, inspect the summary and bounds, then download formatted or minified GeoJSON. Correct any parsing error at the source before exporting.

When to Use It

Review map data before publishing, quickly inspect an API response or reduce whitespace for delivery. Use a GIS application for reprojection, topology repair, spatial joins and cartographic production.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which coordinate order is expected?
GeoJSON uses longitude, latitude order for geographic positions. Files in another projection can parse but will not display meaningfully.
Does BrowserTools send coordinates to a map service?
No. The preview is a local SVG geometry view with no external basemap or tile request.
Is structural validity the same as valid geography?
No. This tool summarizes well-formed GeoJSON-like structures, but it does not repair self-intersections, polygon winding, antimeridian topology or coordinate reference systems.
