JSON Lines & NDJSON Explorer
Validate records line by line, filter data and export JSONL, a JSON array, CSV or a PDF report.
What Is the JSON Lines & NDJSON Explorer?
Inspect newline-delimited JSON without losing original line numbers. Valid records, invalid lines and blank lines are counted separately. Filters search the serialized content of each record; the table paginates 50 records at a time.
How It Works
Open a JSONL/NDJSON file or paste one complete JSON value per line. Review any invalid-line diagnostics, enter a content filter, and export the matching valid records. CSV uses a union of top-level keys and keeps nested values serialized.
When to Use It
Use when inspecting local developer data or preparing configuration that needs review before production.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I get started?
- Open a JSONL/NDJSON file or paste one complete JSON value per line. Review any invalid-line diagnostics, enter a content filter, and export the matching valid records. CSV uses a union of top-level keys and keeps nested values serialized.
- What are the important limits?
- Up to 20,000 lines and 5 MB. Blank lines are ignored and invalid lines are explicitly excluded from exports. This is not a streaming processor for multi-gigabyte files. CSV escapes spreadsheet formula-like values.
- Where is my information stored?
- Processing happens in your browser. These workspaces do not upload your inputs or send reports to a server. Session data is not automatically saved; download a project or report before closing. Keep sensitive exports private.
