Encounter & Initiative Tracker
Run tabletop encounters with initiative order, round tracking, HP, conditions, GM notes and a player presentation view.
What Is the Encounter & Initiative Tracker?
A system-neutral encounter workspace for a party and its opponents. Track up to 100 combatants, sort initiative, advance rounds, apply damage or healing, add condition reminders and maintain private GM notes. This multi-combatant session tool complements the individual D&D character sheet.
How It Works
Add combatants and enter initiative, HP and armor class. Select a row to edit it, duplicate similar opponents or make a character active. Start Encounter and Next Turn advance through the sorted order; Previous and Undo correct mistakes. Player View hides secret rows and all HP, AC and GM notes. Export JSON to resume editing or PDF/TXT to distribute a report.
When to Use It
Keep a tabletop combat session organized without an account or a full virtual tabletop. Useful for game masters, in-person sessions and screen-shared turn order.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does Player View secure private information?
- No. It is a presentation filter on the same device, not authentication. Hidden data remains in the local session. Never distribute the full JSON backup if recipients should not see GM information.
- Are combat rules automated?
- No. Conditions are manual reminders. Zero-HP combatants remain in turn order. Tied initiatives preserve insertion order and can be adjusted manually.
- Will the encounter be saved automatically?
- No. Export a JSON backup before closing the tab. Undo retains up to 80 recent changes during the current session. PDF and TXT exports are reading copies, not editable backups.
