GIF To MP4 Converter
Convert animated GIFs into H.264 MP4 with repeat, speed, frame-rate, size, quality and transparency-background controls.
What Is the GIF To MP4 Converter?
The GIF To MP4 Converter turns an animated GIF into a broadly playable H.264 MP4 locally. It controls repeat count, playback speed, output frame rate, maximum height, compression quality, metadata removal and the solid color used when compositing transparent GIF pixels.
How It Works
Open an animated GIF, choose how many times it should repeat in the finite video, set speed, frame rate, size, quality and transparency background, then process and inspect the resulting MP4. The first export downloads about 31 MB of FFmpeg WebAssembly while the GIF itself stays local.
When to Use It
Use it when a platform, editor or presentation accepts video more reliably than animated GIF. MP4 has no GIF-style infinite-loop instruction and cannot preserve transparency, so the tool creates a finite sequence and composites transparent pixels over the chosen color.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can The MP4 Loop Forever?
- An MP4 file does not carry the same infinite-loop behavior as GIF. Choose a finite repeat count here, then enable looping in the destination player or webpage if needed.
- What Happens To Transparency?
- H.264 MP4 does not preserve the GIF alpha channel. Transparent pixels are composited over the background color you select.
- Is The GIF Uploaded?
- No. The conversion runs locally in FFmpeg WebAssembly after the processing runtime downloads.
