Local PDF Reader
Read PDFs privately with thumbnails, synchronized page navigation, zoom, rotation and full-screen viewing.
What Is the Local PDF Reader?
The Local PDF Reader opens an unlocked PDF entirely in the browser and provides a persistent page rail, page-number navigation, six zoom levels, temporary left or right rotation, full-screen viewing and a direct download of the unchanged original.
How It Works
Drop in a PDF, select pages from the thumbnail rail or use Previous, Next and the page-number field. Change zoom or viewing rotation as needed; those reading controls never alter the source file.
When to Use It
Use it to inspect sensitive reports, scripts, forms or production documents without uploading them to a cloud reader, especially when you need fast thumbnail navigation.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does Viewing Change The PDF?
- No. Zoom and rotation affect only the reading session. Download Original returns the exact bytes you selected.
- Can It Open Password-Protected PDFs?
- No. Open or save an unlocked copy first. The tool deliberately does not ask for or retain PDF passwords.
- Is The Document Uploaded?
- No. Parsing and page rendering happen locally, and the in-memory copy is discarded when you close or reload the page.
