PDF to Word Converter
Extract selected PDF pages into a genuine editable DOCX file with paragraph reconstruction and explicit layout limitations.
What Is the PDF to Word Converter?
The PDF to Word Converter reads an unlocked PDF locally, extracts text from selected pages, reconstructs lines or flowing paragraphs and writes a genuine Office Open XML .docx package that Microsoft Word, LibreOffice and compatible editors can open. Page-range controls, paragraph mode, page breaks, document metadata and an extraction summary make the conversion inspectable rather than hiding what was preserved.
How It Works
Choose a PDF, select all, odd, even or a custom page range, then choose whether to preserve detected lines or combine them into flowing paragraphs. Convert and review the page, paragraph and character counts before downloading the DOCX. Text-based PDFs work best; scanned pages need OCR first, and complex columns, forms, fonts and positioned artwork cannot be recreated exactly from a PDF text layer.
When to Use It
Use it when you need editable text from a report, handout, contract draft or other text-based PDF and prefer a Word document over plain text. Keep the original PDF beside the result when layout fidelity or legal wording matters.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is The Download A Real DOCX File?
- Yes. The converter writes the required OOXML parts and relationships inside a ZIP-based .docx package; it does not rename HTML or plain text with a Word extension.
- Will It Convert Scanned PDFs?
- Not by itself. A scan usually contains page images without a usable text layer. Run OCR in a suitable application first, then convert the searchable PDF.
- Will The Word Layout Match Exactly?
- No. PDF stores positioned page content, while Word reflows document structure. The converter reconstructs readable paragraphs and page breaks but may simplify columns, tables, custom fonts, images, footnotes and forms.
- Does The PDF Leave My Device?
- No. PDF parsing, text extraction and DOCX generation run locally in the current browser tab.
