What Is the Receipt & Invoice OCR to Spreadsheet?

A local OCR and structured-review workspace for PNG, JPG, WebP and up to five PDF pages. It recognizes text with Tesseract, applies transparent receipt heuristics for merchant, date, currency, subtotal, tax, total and item rows, and keeps every detected value editable.

How It Works

Open a source, run OCR, correct the recognized text and structured fields against the original, add or remove item rows, then export CSV, Excel or JSON. Language data downloads when OCR first runs; the document itself is not uploaded.

When to Use It

Prepare expense logs, reimbursement support and bookkeeping drafts from documents you are authorized to process. Treat all OCR values as unverified until a person compares them with the source, especially decimal separators, taxes and totals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can It Read Multi-Page PDFs?
Yes, up to the first five pages per run. Large scanned packets are better split into individual receipts so each record can be reviewed separately.
Is The Extraction Automatic And Final?
It is automatic but never final. OCR and line-item heuristics can misread fonts, folds, faint printing, tax labels and column layout.
Where Does OCR Happen?
Recognition runs in the browser with Tesseract. Language assets may download on first use, but the opened receipt is not sent to an OCR service.
